Currently, we are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our client’s project, providing professional services in the field of financial services and investments. This role is based in Rockville, MD.
Requirements:
— 7+ years of professional experience building enterprise-grade applications using JavaScript, Java, Spring Boot, Angular;
— 4+ years of experience working with high-scale data technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, Presto, and AWS EMR;
— 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and deploying solutions on AWS (specifically ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, and EMR);
— 3+ years of advanced experience in SQL development and query performance tuning;
— 2+ years of proficiency in Python, Unix Shell, Groovy, or Perl;
— Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field;
— Fluent in English, both written and spoken;
— Strong problem-solving and customer-oriented mindset.
Nice to have:
— Proven experience in designing and architecting robust systems aligned with strategic business requirements;
— History of implementing business-critical projects characterized by high technical complexity and large-scale impact;
— Deep understanding of AWS Well-Architected concepts, design principles, and cloud security standards.
Responsibilities:
— Design, develop, and maintain high-performance full-stack applications and RESTful services.
— Architect and optimize big data processing pipelines to handle large-scale datasets efficiently.
— Apply AI-driven methodologies to streamline the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
— Ensure system reliability and scalability by adhering to cloud-native design principles.
— Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical specifications.
